Energy Saving Coatings-Radiant Barrier Paint

Energy Saving Coatings Radiant Barrier Paint- Transform your ordinary paint into an Energy Saving, Thermal Blocking Coating that anyone can apply.
Using technology developed by NASA in the 1950′s to maintain astronaut’s temperature inside their space suits on space walks, this revolutionary radiant barrier paint additive is an inexpensive and easy-to-use radiant barrier material now available to the general public.
Energy Saving Coatings’s non-toxic, chemically stable ceramic microspheres ( glass bubbles) mixed with any paint can effectively block up to 97% of harmful UV Rays. Energy Saving Coatings can be applied to the exterior and interior of your building to PROTECT it from the radiant heat of the sun.  The increased radiant barrier properties of Energy Saving Coatings lower energy bills and, as an added bonus, Energy Saving Coatings insulates from sound as well!

1. Energy Saving Coatings can be blended with all paints – water, oil or resin based
2. Energy Saving Coatings Radiant Barrier paint additive Lowers Energy Costs Energy Saving Coatings, Insulates sound as well as heat if applied correctly
3. Energy Saving Coatings Radiant Barrier Paint reflects up to 98% of harmful UV rays
4. The reflective properties of Energy Saving Coatings prevent the sun’s energy (both visible and infrared spectrums) from being absorbed, thereby reducing surface temperatures. Exterior surfaces coated with Energy Saving Coatings will maintain the same temperature as the surrounding air temperature.
5. Energy Saving Coatings can be sprayed, rolled or brushed
6. Can be applied to any surface you would ordinarily paint

Acrylic Coatings and its Profits!

Acrylic coatings are perhaps the most popular of all coating materials due to their ease of application, removal and forgiving nature. Acrylics dry rapidly, reaching optimum physical properties in minutes, are fungus resistant and provide long pot life. Additionally, acrylics give off little or no heat during cure, eliminating potential damage to heat-sensitive components. They do not shrink during cure and have good humidity resistance and exhibit low glass transition temperatures.

Acrylic resin coatings are easy to apply and can be easily removed for rework using solvents. Spot removal of the coating to repair a solder joint or replace a component can be easily accomplished by localized solvent application. Although not encouraged, Acrylic coatings can be soldered through if preferred.

How to Choose the Best Elastomeric Roof Coating!!

Be sure to look at ALL of the properties of the roof coating when making your decision. Main considerations in selecting a roof coating are:
-Elasticity - The ability to stretch and mend - hence the word elastomeric.  When your coating can move with the temperature changes to the roof, there is a resistance to cracking.  Two-ply is always safer. Greater elasticity is better when comparing and buying a roof covering.
-Tensile strength– The ability to hold together and avoid breaking.
-Perm factor – Resistance to moisture passing through the covering.  A lower number shows greater moisture resistance lower is better.
-Moisture gain by weight – The ability to absorb vs. repels water and protects the roof.  You want a roof coating that prevents water away from the roof, rather than absorb into the roofing material which can accelerate aging and deterioration.
-Peel adhesion – The comparative ability of the coating system to remain adhered to the roof surface under adverse conditions.
-Tear resistance – The higher the tear strength, the greater resistance to withstand minor defects caused after installation.

Prepare Your Roof for the Rainy Season Ahead!

  1. Examine Your Roof - Thoroughly check your roof at least twice a year, preferably before the winter, rainy season and soon after the rainy season has ended.

  2. Prevent Leaks - Repair small defects and mechanical abuse areas, and identify other membrane conditions that might need more extensive repairs.

  3. Clean Your Roof - Remove all fragments; ensure that sanitation are open and functioning.

  4. Shapely Cut The Trees - Make sure there are no overhanging trees or branches that could break off and puncture the roof.

  5. Get a Roof Assessment - If you've noticed areas on the roof that appear to be problematic and need repair, make sure you contact to roof expert and evaluate the situation.

Why is it Important to have an Acrylic Roof Coating?

Studies have proved that cool roof can balance Carbon Dioxide Emissions and Mitigate Global Warming. Did you know that a dark coloured roof absorbs so much heat that flows not only into the space below it but also back into the atmosphere thereby causing an urban warming or heat island effect. A white roof replicates sun’s rays and thereby absorbs much less heat, requires less energy from air conditioning therefore it’s called “COOL” roof.  A cool roof is “a gift that keeps on giving for many, many years, for the life of the roof”

Many Acrylic Roof Coating Systems are available in the market which will be excellent in waterproof capabilities and they are environmentally friendly.  So you can choose any of those coatings which would allow you to avoid expensive and time consuming roof coatings.

High Performance Roof Coatings

A high performance reflective roof coating has high quality UV blocking materials in order to protect your roof from the leading causes of roof degradation - sun damage from UV and Infrared rays. Not only does the high reflectivity lower air temperature inside the building but also by replicating a majority of the harmful UV heats away from the exterior of the roof, the roof is protected from cracking, splitting, weathering and ultimately from leaking. ThermaCote Coatings has several highly reflective roof coatings that can be applied over almost any roofing surface.
